FCCS co-hosted our second Leaders and Lawmakers series with TennesseCan and the Nashville Charter Collaborative to celebrate the contributions of several Nashville, TN charter school leaders and elected officials and emphasize the importance of community and collaboration. The event also provided space to discuss opportunities to strengthen policies to better meet the needs of our Black and Brown students.
The following school leaders and elected officials were honored at the event::
- Senator Raumesh Akbari received the Educational Changemaker Award
- Representative Harold M. Love, Jr. also received the Educational Changemaker Award
- Rev Anthony Anderson, Founder of Harmony School and Memphis Business Academy received the Lifetime Achievement Award
- Ashely Davis- Gallimore, RePublic Schools
- Sheri Catron-Cooper of Circles of Success Learning Academy
